Who Microsoft Bookings is best for
Businesses already paying for Microsoft 365 that want customer booking without another subscription, such as clinics, advisers, service businesses and internal teams. Choose it over Calendly when staying inside the Microsoft ecosystem matters more than polish.
Key features
- Booking pages synced with Outlook calendars
- Shared booking calendars with staff, services and business hours
- Personal Bookings pages for individual availability
- Appointments created as Teams online meetings
- Email and SMS notifications to reduce no-shows
- Available inside Outlook and Teams
Why it’s worth it
If you already have Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard or Premium, it adds booking pages at no extra cost and keeps data in your existing Microsoft tenant.
Things to consider
- Fewer integrations than dedicated tools, with limited native CRM connections outside Microsoft
- Admin setup and customisation are less flexible than Calendly or Cal.com
- Only useful if your organisation is on a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan

FAQ
Microsoft Bookings: common questions
Is Microsoft Bookings free?
There is no separate charge for Bookings, but it requires a qualifying subscription. Microsoft lists it in Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, Teams Essentials and enterprise plans such as E3 and E5.
Does Microsoft Bookings work with Teams?
Yes. Bookings appointments can be created as Teams online meetings, and Bookings is available as an app inside Teams.
Microsoft Bookings vs Calendly?
