FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if ChatGPT recommends my business?
Ask ChatGPT the questions your buyers would ask, such as “Who are the best [service] providers in [city]?”, in a logged-out or private window, and note whether you are mentioned and who appears instead. The checker writes these questions for you.
Why doesn’t my business show up in AI answers?
Common reasons are that AI crawlers are blocked, your website doesn’t say clearly what you do and where, there are few third-party mentions or reviews, and your details are inconsistent across the web.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a plain-text file at the root of a website that summarises who you are and links to your most important pages for AI tools. It is cheap to add, but its impact on AI citations is not yet proven.
Which sources do AI assistants cite most?
A March 2026 Peec AI analysis of 30 million citations found Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Wikipedia and Forbes among the most-cited domains, with review sites such as G2 close behind.
